Established as a Coffee House, Art Gallery and Educational Center, this unique facility is located on a New Jersey State designated Underground Railroad site behind Wheatley’s Drug store on High Street in the City of Burlington, New Jersey. The museum and gallery contains a visual representation of the Underground Railroad experience in America, with emphasis on New Jersey and Burlington County. A section of the exhibit area is dedicated to the Still brothers. William Still was a key player in the Underground Railroad movement. Doctor James Still, of Medford, New Jersey, was known as the “Black Doctor of the Pines.” The museum-quality exhibit area provides a comprehensive overview of the Underground Railroad which flourished throughout Burlington County before the Civil War.
